RX-3000 Waterproof Wall Tile Adhesive
RX-3000 Waterproof Tile Adhesive is a D2TE classified ready-mixed adhesive designed for interior wall tiling applications. This improved dispersion adhesive features reduced slip and extended open time for fixing ceramic tiles in wet areas, including power showers, bathrooms and wet rooms.
This ready-mixed adhesive is specially formulated for fixing ceramic or mosaic wall tiles in demanding wet environments such as showers, power showers, bathrooms and wet rooms, as well as kitchens and other areas. The excellent non-slip characteristics reduce the need for battens, making installation faster and more efficient. Ideal for fixing to flat internal wall surfaces such as plaster, plasterboard, cement:sand rendering and existing tiles. With a 30-minute open time and 3mm maximum bed thickness, RX-3000 provides reliable waterproof adhesion when used with proper waterproofing systems. Tiles can be grouted after 24 hours. Exceeds BS EN12004 performance requirements for D2TE adhesives.
APPLICATIONS
RX-3000 Waterproof Wall Tile Adhesive is suitable for:
- Interior walls in dry areas
- Wet areas including domestic showers and wet rooms
- Power showers (when used with Dunlop Shower Waterproofing Kit)
- Bathrooms and kitchens
- Ceramic and mosaic wall tiling projects in high-moisture environments
Note: Not suitable for swimming pools, floors, or exterior applications. Waterproofing protection recommended for wet areas.
SUITABLE SUBSTRATES
RX-3000 can be applied to:
- Fibre/lightweight cement boards (minimum 3 days drying time)
- Cement:sand rendering (minimum 2 weeks drying time)
- Existing glazed ceramic tiles (minimum 3 days drying time)
- Existing unglazed ceramic tiles
- Plaster (minimum 4 weeks old, maximum 20kg/m²)
- Plasterboard (securely fixed at 300mm centres, maximum 32kg/m²)
COMPATIBLE TILE TYPES
RX-3000 Waterproof Wall Tile Adhesive is compatible with:
- Glazed ceramic tiles (maximum 300mm x 300mm)
- Unglazed ceramic tiles (maximum 300mm x 300mm)
- Ceramic mosaics (sheet-mounted on mesh, paper or plastic)
- Porcelain mosaics (sheet-mounted on mesh, paper or plastic – increased drying time required)
Note: Not suitable for porcelain tiles, natural stone or large format tiles over 300mm x 300mm. For these applications, please contact our technical team for product recommendations.
Coverage
A 5kg or 15kg tub of RX-3000 Waterproof Wall Tile Adhesive provides the following coverage: approximately 2kg/m² in dry areas, or approximately 3kg/m² in wet areas. Coverage depends on substrate flatness, trowel size and application method.

How should I choose whether to use a ready-mixed or powdered tile adhesive?
It’s an age-old predicament, can I use a ready-mixed tile adhesive, or should I go for the conventional cement-based powdered tile adhesive? The truth lies behind how the product dries. Ready-mixed is generally easier to use as it can be spread straight out of the bucket and does not require water or mixing (hence the name).
