What tiles can I fix using DUNLOP CF-03?
Dunlop CF-03 is a flexible tile adhesive, making it suitable for fixing most wall and floor tiles.
It’s perfect for fixing natural stone, porcelain, ceramics & mosaics in all sizes including large format.
When fixing natural stone tiles, it’s important to remember to use CF-03 in white when fixing light natural stone and CF-03 in grey when fixing dark natural stone.
This will prevent staining of the tiles.
Once I’ve mixed DUNLOP CF-03, how long have I got to use the adhesive and fix tiles?
Dunlop CF-03 has a pot life of 45 minutes.
Once the adhesive has been applied, you’ve got up to 20 minutes to fix your tiles, which is plenty of time to create the perfect finish.
How much water should I use to mix a bag of DUNLOP CF-03 and what coverage do I get?
A 20kg bag of DUNLOP CF-03 requires approximately 4.4 litres of cold, clean water.
Add the powder to the clean water and mx thoroughly until you get a smooth uniform consistency.
A 20kg bag will cover approximately
8-10m2 using a 6mm notch trowel
4-5m2 using a 10mm notch trowel
When would I use a rapid setting tile adhesive?
Rapid setting adhesives are great if you’re looking to complete a tiling job as quickly as possible.
With Dunlop CF-03 you can walk on and grout your tiles after just 3 hours regardless of the background!

CF-24 Flexible Tile Adhesive
How quickly after tiling with DUNLOP CF-24 can I grout?
Dunlop CF-24 is standard setting tile adhesive, and you can grout tiles after 24 hours.
Giving you more time on those tiling jobs during the warmer summer months.
Once I’ve mixed DUNLOP CF-24, how long have I got to use the adhesive and fix tiles?
Dunlop CF-24 has a 5-hour pot life, meaning you can mix bigger batches of adhesive with minimal waste – perfect for those larger tiling jobs.
Once the adhesive has been applied, you’ve got up to 30 minutes to fix your tiles. Giving you plenty of time to create the perfect finish.
What tiles can I fix using DUNLOP CF-24?
Dunlop CF-24 is a flexible tile adhesive, making it suitable for fixing most wall and floor tiles. It’s perfect for fixing ceramics, porcelain & mosaics in all sizes including large format and is available in both grey & white.
Can I tile onto cement boards using DUNLOP CF-24?
Yes you can, but first things first – ensure the boards are sufficiently rigid, stable and can carry the additional load without excessive deflection and have adequate ventilation underneath.
Certain boards may require priming prior to tiling with a suitable primer such as DUNLOP TILERS PRIMER (diluted 1:1 with water by volume) or DUNLOP SBR UNIVERSAL BONDING AGENT (diluted 1:4 with water by volume).
Can I tile onto plasterboard using DUNLOP CF-24?
Yes you can, ensure the plasterboard is dry & securely fixed at 300mm centres. Follow board manufacturer’s recommendations on installation.
The maximum weight of tiling onto plasterboard (including the tile adhesive) is 32kg per m²

What tiles can I fix using DUNLOP CLF-03?
CLF-03 is suitable for most tile types but it’s specifically designed for use with large format and natural stone floor tiles.
When fixing natural stone tiles it’s important to remember to always use CLF-03 in white when fixing light natural stone and CLF-03 in grey when fixing dark natural stone.
This will prevent staining of the tiles.
For sensitive stone tiles such as quartz, mix CLF-03 with DUNLOP FLEXIBLE ADDITIVE

What is the bed depth of Dunlop CLF-03?
Dunlop CLF-03 is a thick bed floor tile adhesive which can be built up to 25mm in isolated areas.
It’s perfect for patch and repair and direct fixing to most substrates and maintains its strength and performance – even at 25mm!
Why is it important to get full adhesive coverage on the back of the tile? Especially when fixing large format tiles?
Full adhesive coverage on the back of the tile will ensure that good contact is made between the tile and the subfloor.
With traditional tile adhesives, this would be achieved by back buttering each tile first but using Dunlop CLF-03 will reduce the need to back butter tiles.

What is airing time and working time?
The AIRING TIME is the time the adhesive must be left open before applying the floorcovering.
Allowing the adhesive to air will improve early-stage grab.
Once FX-5000 has been spread, leave it to air for approximately 5-10 minutes.
The WORKING TIME is the time in which the adhesive can receive the floorcovering after the initial airing time.
After the airing time, you’ve got approximately 15-20 minutes to fit your floorcovering into the wet adhesive, so aim to apply an area of adhesive you can reasonably cover in that time.

What preparation is required prior to fitting LVT with DUNLOP FX-5000?
There are several things to consider when fitting LVT…
Before you start, allow both the floorcovering and adhesive to come to room temperature for a minimum of 24 hours prior to installation. Room temperatures need to be maintained 48 hours prior, during and after installation.
It’s important that the subfloor is level, smooth and free from dust and moisture.

Can I tile onto plaster using DUNLOP RX-3000?
Yes you can, but first you must check that a finish coat has been applied and that the surface is free from dust.
If the plaster is polished, brush thoroughly using a stiff bristled brush.
Prime the surface with a suitable primer such as 1 coat of Dunlop Tilers Primer (diluted 1:1 with water by volume) or 1 coat of Dunlop SBR Bonding Agent (diluted 1:4 with water by volume) and allow to dry between coats.

Yes you can, but first you must ensure that the surface is clean and dry and that the existing tiles are soundly bonded to a stable background.

Ready mixed adhesives are classified “D” for dispersion which means they must lose the moisture in them to fully dry out.
If a tile is too dense (such as porcelain), or too large (bigger than 300 x 300mm), the moisture will become trapped and the adhesive will not fully dry or reach full strength.
For porcelain, natural stone or large format tiles, we would recommend that a suitable Dunlop cement-based adhesive is used such as CF-03 FLEXIBLE FAST SET TILE ADHESIVE or CF-24 FLEXIBLE TILE ADHESIVE.

What’s included in the Dunlop Shower Waterproofing Kit?
The Kit consists of 4 parts…
Primer to provide a protective layer prior to applying the Waterproof Coating
Waterproof Coating to provide continuous waterproof protection to the background prior to the application of tiles.
Waterproof tape to be used in conjunction with the Waterproof Coating to seal any joints in the background such as wall corners, along the shower tray or floor junctions, pipe penetrations, outlets etc.
Waterproof matting to be applied to the floor area using the waterproof coating when a shower tray is not being used.
What is waterproof tanking and why do I need it?
Tanking is a layer of protection applied to the background in shower areas to protect it from water damage.
Products such as Dunlop Shower Waterproofing Kit create a watertight barrier preventing water from penetrating through the grout joints and into the back of the tiled background.
When the shower background doesn’t have the correct protection, continued exposure to water can result in costly damage to walls, floors and ceilings in adjacent rooms.

When can I lay tiles or soft floor coverings onto DUNLOP LX-40?
After 4 hours the floor will be dry and ready to accept tiles such as ceramic & porcelain. For floor coverings such as LVT, carpet or vinyl tiles, leave DUNLOP LX-40 to dry for a minimum of 24hrs.
How quickly after applying DUNLOP LX-40 can I walk on the floor?
The new surface should be hard enough to walk on after just 4 hours! Meaning minimal disruption when working, particularly those areas that are constantly in use by the customer and other trades.
Can I use a spiked roller when applying the LX-40?
Yes you can, after applying LX-40 with a steel trowel, using a spiked roller can be a good way to remove air from self-levelling compounds and reducing pin holes in the dried surface. For a quicker, easier application.
What substrates can be levelled using LX-40 Floor Leveller?
DUNLOP LX-40 is perfect for a number of internal substrates including concrete floors, cement:sand screeds and old tile adhesive residue.
It can be laid at depths from 2-12mm
How much water should I use to mix DUNLOP LX-40?
3.8 litres of water is required per 20kg bag of DUNLOP LX-40. LX-40 has excellent flow which makes it easy to apply and achieve a perfect finish, meaning you won’t need to add more water to improve the flow avoiding the risk of a weak mix that could crack.
How do I prepare the floor before I apply the LX-40?
Make sure the surface is clean, dry, sound and free from any laitance, dust, dirt and all other barriers to adhesion before preparing the floor. Depending on the substrate, the surface may also require priming before levelling with DUNLOP LX-40

4.2 litres per 20kg bag. DUNLOP LX-360 has excellent flow which makes it easy to apply and achieve a perfect finish, which means you won’t need to add more water to improve the flow avoiding the risk of a weak mix that could crack.

Some products can only be used at thinner applications or need to be bulked out with aggregate.
With DUNLOP LX-360 you can level floors from 3mm to 60mm in one application.
