Deep fill, flexible self levelling compound perfect for underfloor heating and wood subfloors

FAQs.

1: What sets LX-360 apart from other floor levellers?

LX-360 is our premium fibre reinforced floor leveller designed for deep levelling from 3-60mm in a single application. The added fibres provide exceptional strength and flexibility, making it ideal for challenging substrates such as wooden floors, areas with significant movement or floors that require significant build-up. Unlike standard levellers, LX-360 can be used at greater depths without cracking, shrinking or requiring aggregates.

2: How does LX-360 compare to LX-40 and LX-200?

  • LX-40: Standard leveller for basic applications (2-12mm)
  • LX-200: Mid-range flexible option (0-20mm)
  • LX-360: Premium fibre-reinforced deep fill option (3-60mm)

Key advantages of LX-360:

  • Fibre reinforcement for superior strength and flexibility
  • Deepest application range (up to 60mm in one pour)
  • Best choice for problematic floors and areas subject to movement
  • No aggregates needed even for deep applications

3: What types of projects is LX-360 best suited for?

  • Uneven timber subfloors needing substantial reinforcement
  • Renovation projects with significant height differences
  • Floors with multiple substrates requiring a unified surface
  • Encapsulating undertile floor heating systems
  • Commercial projects where reliability and strength are critical

4: Can LX-360 be used on wooden floors?

Yes, LX-360 has been designed for use on wooden floors including plywood and tongue & groove floorboards. The fibre reinforcement provides the flexibility needed to accommodate the natural movement of timber while preventing cracking.

Preparation for wooden floors:

  • Ensure boards are secure and free from excessive movement
  • Prime with two coats of Dunlop SBR Universal Bonding Agent (diluted 1:2 with water)
  • Apply the second coat at 90° to the first, allowing to dry between coats
  • Apply LX-360 at a minimum 3mm thickness

This makes LX-360 the ideal choice for renovation projects in older properties with wooden subfloors.

5: How much LX-360 will I need for my project?

  • One 20kg bag covers approximately 4m² at 3mm thickness
  • Coverage formula: 1.7kg per mm per m²
  • Example: For 10m² area at 10mm depth = 9 bags (1.7 × 10 × 10 ÷ 20 = 8.5 bags, rounded up)
  • Can be applied up to 60mm without the need for aggregates
